Today was out of this world. Never seen it so bad. Couldn't see through it. Thunder and lightening horrendous. One flash seemed to be in our conservatory and the thunder was so loud I jumped. The road outside was a river just pouring down the road. Hope they don't have the nerve to mention hose pipe bans any time soon!
Three or four drops here today and hurricanes making the leaves rustle a bit. I had to curtail my sunbathing for a while. I’d really like some rain to water the garden for me but it isn’t happening.
Just got a short video clip of a double lightning flash and one almighty thunderclap from BIL in Manchester. The rain was stair rods. Last time they saw rain like that was waking up on Boxing Day and flooded up to their bedroom window sill when the river Irwell breached its banks. Hope they escape another flood. They have had enough and their house is on the market. :-(
'They', will only mention hose pipe bans when required. Usually because the general public waste water. Shower with a friend, don't use a hosepipe to water your garden, and only flush the toilet when you have to. There's an old OZ saying( if it's yellow let it mellow, if it's brown flush it down)
A good storm here last night, one clap of thunder shook the house. Torrential rain too, had about three lots of that yesterday. I don't think the gardens need kit any more! Wonder how many storms we're in for today, had two small ones as well yesterday. Its getting to be a habit with two or three every day lately.
