I did not mind one bit but again could somebody fill me in.

I got my car cleaned and valeted (very well) last Saturday that the car is like a new pin.

It took about an hour but I was people watching. The young lad who was valeting asked me if he could use my radio and I said yes, he said the headphones were hurting him.

Anyway there I'm sitting when the most merciful volume came from my car. He told me he connected his phone to my radio to listen to his favourite tunes, I couldn't believe the sound. Bless him he tried to explain to me but I just nodded my head.

What I would like to know by him doing this did he sorta use up the car battery as somebody once told me - never leave your battery on when car not running.

Sorry for the long winded post - does anybody know what he really did?

Jj if your car still starts, battery will soon charge up when you go for a drive.
The last few cars I've had have turned-off the radio after 15 mins or so if you turn-off the ignition just to make sure you don't leave it on, say overnight, which could flatten the battery.
Yes, he was using the car battery.
if he was playing it through your radio then yes he would have been using the battery
My radio turns off when the ignition key is withdrawn.
Hope he stuck an air freshener on the mirror for his 'cheek'
And mine does, Sparklykid, but the radio keeps going if the key is turned once, not starting the engine
Anyway jj - you're posh , ain't you - having your car washed and valeted ?
Bazile so do I for £12 inside and out.
I have mine valeted three times a year. I must be super posh. Or lazy. Take your pick
Yeah all right , I have mine done as well .
In fact it could do with one now , on account of all that pigeon fertiliser on it .

Do you think that said birds like to crap on black shiny cars - they do seem to , on mine

And he had the cold air blowing - jeepers I'm lucky I got started
I wouldn’t have thought an hour of radio would flatten your battery. Leaving the lights on a few days might.

Though it beats me why people clean cars at all.
He would not flatten your battery after 1 hour.

that's why I'm glad I allowed him to go ahead because he done a fantastic job on the car.

I'm the biggest tipper ever. When I got my kitchen in about 4 years ago - I tipped both daddy and son - a hundred pounds each. However I wish I wasn't.
