Would wearing a face shield be acceptable for wearing on public transport or do you have to wear a face covering as well

As far as I understand it you don't have to necessarily wear a mask on public transport - anything like a scarf which covers nose and mouth will do.

The wording in the Regulations states: “face covering” means a covering of any type which covers a person’s nose and mouth.
