It's a natural limestone arch near Lulworth in Dorset, Bobbi. I've never been foolish enough to jump from it but I have swum through it and round the back to return to the beach:

Looks awesome NJ
That's quite a formation,it looks like Nessie having a drink.
It's a very interesting stretch of the coast, Bobbi. A short walk away is Lulworth Cove. This is an almost circular bay with just a narrow opening to the sea:

That neck of the woods is riddled with unusual geological features and well worth a visit. Just up the road is the deserted village of Tyneham:

That’s disgrace NJ, the MOD should hand the tiny village back to the then residents families
Covid19 alert level has been reduced from 4 to 3.
One can only hope that the malcontents manage to contain it within their own group.

Not the only village commandeered by the WD during the war. Villages adjacent to the sandy beaches in Devon were evacuated for D. Day Landing rehearsals. Residents including Farmers were told to evacuate their houses with little notice. Much of the property was damaged by live fire from Allied ships. The Devonians were unfortunate to have almost identical features to the French landing beaches including an inland lagoon.
Danny, that's what's in the link, and what sparked off the thread.
NAC, mea culpa, should have checked the link.
Thanks, Danny - you don't often make slip-ups!
It where the people all rushed to on that awful May bank holiday weekend....they were crowded on the beach anyway and people were jumping off the cliff. the rescue helicopter was called out.
Not the only place to be commandeered by the army - Tottington in Norfolk was too https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tottington,_Norfolk

Apparently you can fool all of the people all of the time.
I never preface any sentence with the words "What if ..." because, by definition, it is asking a question that can't be answered at the time - future events or actions will provide an answer, but there is simply not an answer available now.

Presumably the alert level will be raised again.
What if there isn't?
We can all go down the pub! Hurrah!!!
