Really lovely programme on BBC4 last night on the history of Italian opera. It's the first of three. Very jolly and knowledgeable Italian presenter and beautiful locations. Last night's went from Monteverdi to Mozart. Very interesting.

Now when I saw Pappano's name I assumed it was a repeat as he's done a few programmes on opera all of which I've watched. But it looks like I might be mistaken. So thanks Rosie, I shall watch the series. I love his enthusiasm.
