Cheap mobile phone calls in US

Off to US next week. Any ideas how to get cheap mobile calls a) within US eg phoning for hotels and b)calling the UK

You might try downloading a VoIP programme - I don't know how - but there's at least one company called Tower that offers VoIP for mobiles and cut the costs down hugely.

It can be found at www.vyke.com.

Skype may offer it too.
