For those who are unaware it is Armed Forces Day tomorrow.
For those who don't care it might be worth mentioning that they have been on the frontline also during this virus and have supplied tremendous logistics support to their co front line workers in the NHS. Tons of PPE have been transported by the Army logistics Corp to those establishments that need it. They also set up virus testing centres for key workers throughout the UK.
Well done and thank you men and women of our armed forces.
It is quite apparent to the less blinkered and naive that the likes of gulliver do not care. He didn’t let me down. Get back up on your fence Mamyalynne. There are some fools on this site who I know have shown contempt, in the past, for our armed forces and if you didn’t know that I can spell it out for you. I had not got you in mind.
ChillDoubt, I love your term 'keyboard warrior' brilliant! Sadly theanswerbank is riddled with them. Should be renamed theargumentbank. Not what it used to be.
Having grown up in a family of men who have all served I was disgusted how they ignored my father in his time of need.
I have lost a lot of respect for the forces.
However I will raise a glass tomorrow.
I shall perch where I wish Retrocop and respond as and when, I shall also continue to post a celebratory or congratulatory thread without a dig within.
Yes me to Mamyalynne. And if you’know the Op’ it didn’t stop you throwing your oar in with an unnecessary barb out my timing.
Yes I know the reminder was early but unlike you I do not spend all day, all night and the early hours on AB. I have other interests and other things to do.I am not sad enough to log on first thing in the morning and it would be pointless posting a reminder halfway through the actual day. You make it seem like I pee’d on your fireworks which makes it more sad.
There really is no need to be picky about the day, it's actually Armed Forces Week and has been since Monday with various events having taken place, it just culminates tomorrow with Armed Forces Day. Having always had close ties with the military I'll always honour them - they have and still do us proud.
