Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

Remember: You do not have to use the title builder - simply enter the title and question as you normally would and click submit!

Struggling with 27A: Cutting flowering bulb - emerald around the edges and regularly patterned (9). I have ?????L?E? in the grid. Hint would be appreciated. Thank you.

The thematic element is English (3 letters)
a plant (6 letters) minus the last letter + E(meral)D
and the def = 'regularly patterned' [a design produced in such a way].

Many thanks Professor Maisie, I have now worked out 27A thanks to your reply. I have 6 left to do now, but I have only just joined the Answerbank and am not sure of the etiquette yet, so don't want to take advantage any further so will struggle on! Many thanks once again.

There are no limits, Unicorn5 - ask anything if you get stuck (but I'm glad you solved that tricky one - it wasn't a heavy hint, so I was wondering if you'd get it).

Thank you Professor Maisie for your kind post - I have solved another two clues since having your help and now have "brain freeze" and 5 clues left - am about to post another question on a new thread and any hints would be helpful. Thanks again.
