Good. As to being old news - OK, but it continues. My local force E. Yorks. & Humberside updates me with what is going on and the latest was that over 800 arrests have been made in the last few weeks - mainly to do with drugs and mainly around Hull/Grimsby although some in Bridlington. They are having a field day. My next-door neighbour (a copper with N. Yorks.) helped to bust 4 cannabis farms in one day. He was beaming (once he knew his wife had told me the day after). Yes, up to the courts now.

As Peter Pedant points out, while it reaches into the UK, this operation was/is essentially masterminded outside the UK whereas the OP link allows the reader to assume it is a UK initiative. UK police forces have so far done a good/useful job in the UK of course.

Part of Brexit we will leave Europol and cease to share intelligence with other European police forces.
And contrary to the report, this was not a National Crime Agency success, the French made the breakthrough and copied us into the data.
So better celebrate the success now because after 31st December, we will be out of the Europol loop.

gromit, remainer rubbish, Interpol existed long before the EUSSR and will continue long after. There's nowt to stop police forces cooperating. Celebrate the result rather than trying to pick holes in it.
