The next ridiculous thing we’ll have is demonstrators descending on RAF Scampton demanding for the dogs remains to be exhumed and for the grave to be concreted over, and erased from history forever.
Every time that the BBC show The Dambusters it’s edited to remove all reference to his dog and loyal companion.

No doubt the mob will be adding Guy Gibson's statue to the list because he named his dog (n)digger,.

Roy, it's not nonsense it is a fact.
//The far right and the far left are both fascists. //

Quite right. A shared philosophy. 'Our way or no way'.
Dannyk. Not sure you’ll ever get as much as a quizical look out of roy or naomi, let alone an admission that they might be (say it quietly) wrong.

Wrong?

We can all find links to prove our points.

try having some independent thoughts now and again.
Allen, If you're aware of any far left regime that doesn’t adhere to the philosophy ‘Our way or no way?’, I'd be interested in hearing about it.

^Wrong thread?
Tor’s Surely if a scone was involved with the jam & cream it must come across as unity?
not the last time I watched it, they didn't edit the name...
Ellipsis - // There is no relationship between Guy Gibson's dog's name and what his statue commemorates.

In Colston's case, there is a big relationship between slavery and what his statue commemorates.

There is no relationship between Winston Churchill's worst deeds and what his statues commemorate.

There is no relationship between Nelson Mandela's worst deeds and what his statues commemorate.

There is no relationship between Gandhi's worst deeds and what his statues commemorate.

So, for me, it's simple:
- Gibson's statue OK
- Colston's statue not OK
- Churchill's statues OK
- Mandela's statues OK
- Gandhi's statues OK //

I believe there is a flaw in your argument.

Under your system of measurement, Colston should be as 'OK' as the rest of your list.

In your list, each individual has a statue erected in memory of the good things that each individual has done, regardless of the bad things he has also done.

Since Colston's statue is not in memory if his slavery, but rather in memory of the generosity with which he endowed the city, then he belongs in your list.
