It's a word I haven't used since my teens, Bobbi. I do remember my mother and an aunt talking about catching someone doing it on their way home from a bingo session. I found it quite funny to listen in because, as they knew I was within earshot (and that my 7 or 8 year old ears could pick up a pin drop), they were talking like Les Dawson and Roy Barraclough :-)
