Has Anyone Any Suggestions As To How I Could Remove Permanent Black Marker From Light Blue Denims. It Is Only About 1 Inch In Length. Grateful For Any Suggestions.

I think there is probably a Stain Devils especially for that. Have you washed the denims many times since the black marker got on them?

Unfortunately hot water can set stains so if you don't get it out first time, you might never get it out.

Washed them once before I noticed it
Bernie that will have set the ink, will be more difficult to remove now but not impossible.
Try isopropyl alcohol, tricky to find but not impossible. It is used in the painting trades, particularly any serious car spraying workshop. Available on eBay but make certain it is pure isopropyl.
Why not just cut the offending area out? Most denims I see being worn seem to be riddled with holes and gashes. I thought it was de rigueur.
