Warrior Nun - Netflix

Decent little series. Dead girl wakes up on mortuary slab having had a religious artifact placed in her back. The artifact gives her certain powers but she has to join an ancient order of warrior nuns. I have watched 8 of the 10 episodes this week and will most likely complete the series after tonight's football. All nonsense, of course, but good fun and some decent acting from performers I've not come across before.

Also did Watcher this week, thinking there were 2 seasons ready - heigh-ho, really enjoyed that as well.

Guilty as charged, yer honour. Had you read the books before watching Bosch, LIK? I ask because i recall watching the first episode and thinking to myself that Titus Welliver was playing the character almost exactly as i imagined him.

Watched a good fillum over the weekend on Netflix :

Red (2010) - was attracted by the madly over the top cast of Bruce Willis, Morgan Freeman, John Malkovich, Mary-Louise Parker, Helen Mirren, and Karl Urban - and was not disappointed.

A ridiculous, cheery romp with lots of explosions and big guns :)


PS : I've asked the gnomes if we might have a centralised thread for these recommendations - anyone else think it's a good idea?
