Aldi Carpet Shampooer

I have tried to shampoo a carpet this morning. Followed the instructions, secured the water tank, but when I turned on the machine and pressed the solution release trigger, no liquid is discharging. Has anyone have this machine, and can you help me please. I feel like a dumb blond.

When you press the trigger, can you hear a noise, like a motor running??
If so, it could be possibly one of two things:
If you've used the machine before, there's a possibility that when you finished using it last time, it wasn't cleaned sufficiently and there's a residue of the cleaning solution, which has crystallised on the nozzles and caused them to be blocked.
Or:
you've possibly got an air lock.
