Does It Matter If Our Prime Minister Lies?

I posted this a few days ago about Boris Johnson lying - no one took any interest in the post.

Admittedly Boris has form, having been sacked at least twice for lying.

If I made such similar statements in my job, I would soon find myself pushing a broom as the major part of my employment.
If the CEO of the company made such similar false statements he would have to go, as a FTSE100 company, investors could cite the false information as a reason for investing – potentially leaving the company with an unlimited liability.

But if the CEO of UK Plc lies, no one bats an eyelid – there was a time when the Prime Minister would be forced to make a correction, but not now.

In my post, I compared Boris to Donald Trump, admittedly they are not in the same league. Trump, as president has surpassed 20,000 lies (or un-truths, if you prefer), that is a rate of over 10/day (and more, given the number of days he spends playing golf). But it can’t be long before we find ourselves in the same position, if no one cares if our politicians can lie with impunity.

In terms of Trump lying - Boris just doesnt look in. I mean cripes ! sacre bleu! The other thing is that Boris doesnt deny that the central cuthority has no role to play - whereas the lack of effort on Trumps part shows he really doesnt give a damn

The Mucky Media will not hold him to account because he protects the "offshore" accounting structures which enable the rich Media Barons to avoid paying any tax.

Both the Labour Party and EU are opposed to such loopholes so they get vilified by the Mucky Media, and sufficient numbers of the gullible public consequently are fooled into supporting both Brexit and the CON-servative government.

Don’t be fooled, all politicians lie, they have to if they want to be in politics. They also take no notice of what the people want, I remember a certain Labour leader who sent our lads off to war in Iraq.

There is plenty of evidence of Boris lying since he started work; but Tory lying is just telling an alternative truth, so it doesn't count.

Well that is one of the lies that is unacceptable(from any party) - lying to get into a war.

So when did she lie then? As for the re elected bit can you show me the prove that is why she did that?

Headline news, politicians select the data they want in order to show themselves and their party in a good light. Isn't everyone guilty of selecting evidence that supports their beliefs and doesn't trust that which questions them ? Ho hum...
