There have been lots of stuff written by journalists and tweeters etc about the end of the ‘Book of Dreams’ - the Argos catalogue.

[Faint sigh] I remember flicking through the pages as a child pointing at things saying ‘I want that and that...’ , knowing of course that I wouldn’t get them nor expected them to appear down the chimney.

And the laminated pages, while in the shop choosing stuff to send my boy off to uni with. And the stubby little pens.

Just me?

Don't worry, jo, they're still going to publish a Christmas edition :)

Don't know what they'll now have in their stores, though - tablets?
Starting late autumn we were allowed to flick through Mum's mail order catalogue and make lists, it was fun even if we did get giddily carried away.
I remember when argos didn't exist......

So do I.
Same as Mamya, flicking through mom's Littlewoods or Grattans catalogue.
I understood that they were ceasing home catalogues but still available in their stores. Might be wrong.
We used to play baggies with the Marshal Wards catalogues. Each page a dream to fulfill.
