Cataract Removal

I’ve decided to have an operation to remove a cataract from my right eye. I can just about afford to have it done, privately.

My daughter wants me to go down South to stay with her so she can look after me, with the added bonus of seeing my twin granddaughters who I haven’t seen since Xmas.

Do I get in touch with a private hospital down there, (Southampton) directly or should I contact an optician down there when I get there, to arrange?

Sorry to intrude on your thread, chrissa. Interesting, because my dad needs a cataract removed soon and I was wondering how much care he’ll need afterwards.

Looks like a simple procedure. Hope all goes well for everyone.

Hope all goes well for your Dad and jourdain.
It is indeed a simple and painless procedure, needing no aftercare apart from perhaps help with putting the eyedrops in.

I think it’s more that I won’t be able to drive for a while and my daughter wants to help with that.
