I can't say I like it...but I'm not good with heights so that's a worst nightmare scenario for me. As others have said...parents are super experienced, and have built the kids up to this level.

This chap is a professional, he will have carried out a risk assessment, been aware of the children's capabilities, the weather, the route - every aspect of the climb.
There was no risk from third party intervention, unlike riding a bike or pony on the road; walking to school on their own; being a passenger in a car or bus.

Mountain climbing (when properly roped to experienced climbers) is almost certainly considerably SAFER for young children than playing on garden trampolines or on garden swings, both of which have alarmingly high accident rates (as indeed do bouncy castles).
Climbing techniques and equipment are advancing all the time. I can remember, in my youth, the BBC devoting many hours of broadcasting time to live coverage of the first ever ascent of The Old Man of Hoy by two vastly-experienced climbers. Two years ago an 8-year-old climbed it successfully and, I'm sure, in perfect safety:
