Alavahalf has asked a few questions on your other thread Tilly.
Anyway, my comments...
When they excavate, are they disposing of the spoil?
This would need either a hardcore or a concrete base.
Are they supplying the slabs?
A circular patio of that size could easily account for half of that quote.
Does the price include VAT (that would account for £200)
Even if not including VAT, that would seem a pretty good quote.
You have other quotes coming. I'm sure that would confirm it.
Thanks, Mr B. On the invoice, it says the following
Dig out new circular patio area
Supply subbase and sand to lay new patio
Supply and lay new circular patio ( Rotunda circular patio kit
in Yorkshire Riven Buff )
Supply and use Easy Joint to point up new patio
Leave garden clean and tidy
Thanks, Tilly. I guess they are not VAT registered then. No matter. It still makes it a very sensible quote.
That looks fine. Assuming they are reputable ;o)
Do ask what they intend to do with the spoil after excavation.
Even if it's extra to get rid of it, it's still a good price.
