how do you remove ntl netguard?

ive installed and used ntl netguard but now want to remove it as ive aquired another firewall.However the strange thing is , is that its not listed on add/remove programs.Im totally baffled as its been used on my computer so its obviously installed.Why is it not listed on programs and how do i get rid of it? any help would be greatly appreciated...thanks

First of all, try Start, All Programs and Startup - see if it's there. If not (or as well), go to Start, Run and then type in msconfig. Look in the Services and Startup (and Tools if it's there). Untick it to stop it working.

That's really bizarre. I also used NTL Netguard, although only for a few days. It slowed down my computer and I noticed that starting up took at least twice as long as it normally would, so I uninstalled it.

In this sort of situation, I go to "Program Files" and simply delete the folder in which it is contained.

Also afterwards remove entires from your registry. JV16 Power Tools, last freeware version is very good at clearing remnant registry files.

select start - programs - ntl netguard security - uninstall netguard security.

thanks guys...unfortunatly still cannot get rid of it so had to just disable it.wouldnt reccoment netguard to any one...had exactly same problems as mikey 0118. thanks again all
