Xperia Z3 Compact Phone - Only Small Light To Show Battery Low!

Hello again
I often do not realise my battery is critically low because although it gives the % charge left in top r/h corner the only other warning is a very small red light top left which I can hardly see!

Looking thru the manual I can see nothing that would allow me to set up a 'sound' notification' to show me it needs charging - this would help me as I am elderly wih poor sight.

Do all smart phones not have this option?

Not that I'm aware of, which is probably why there are loads of apps on the Play Store which have High and/or Low alarms.

A low battery warning is included with the more recent versions of the Android operating system but the Z3 can't be updated beyond Android 6.0. (Your phone was originally supplied with Android 4.4. The latest widely available version is Android 10, with Android 11 currently being trialled).

As 198 kHZ indicates though, you just need to install a suitable app to do the job for you. e.g. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=simple.batttery.alarm&hl=en
