Lump On One Side Of Throat/Neck

my 17 year old son woke up today with a hard lump on right side of his throat. I can't see anything inside but he can feel it when he shallows, although its not painful at all. Its firm to touch. Maybe a gland? No other lumps anywhere. I really would rather not go to walk in centre but is it something should be looked at?

From what you have described, this is no big deal. It could be a gland reacting to an infection or indeed it could be a salivary gland blocked by a stone. The latter is unlikely. Monitor the situation over the weekend and if he starts to run a temp then give him Ibuprofen. In this age groups Glandular Fever comes into the frame,but the treatment is just the same as i...
