13 Answers
While speaking to a nurse at our surgery yesterday I asked if it was ok for my husband to attend for an injectipn without a mask.. he has several respiratory health issues. Bronciectisis,COPD,heart failure
etc.
I was asked had he got a letter as proof..as if his medical records weren't enough!!
No he hasnt as he hadnt been anywhere to need a mask.
She advises to look on the .Gov web site. GPs dont do them
I can't find anything where I can print such a letter..
Anyone know about this issue please.

the .gov website clearly says that no one has to carry proof and no one has the right to demand proof.
"Exemption cards
Those who have an age, health or disability reason for not wearing a face covering should not be routinely asked to give any written evidence of this, this includes exemption cards. No person needs to seek advice or request a letter from a medical professional about their reason for not wearing a face covering."
Some people may feel more comfortable showing something that says they do not have to wear a face covering. This could be in the form of an exemption card, badge or even a home-made sign.
This is a personal choice and is not necessary in law."
