I think you get more and better answers from Google, but I have to do my best not to tell them who I am or where I live
Use it once, I was not impressed. Lack of entries for my searches.
It is very strong on privacy but has a lot less search results than google. Try it, if the search function is good enough for you then why not use it :)
if you use duckduckgo and open a link after a search, not sure if you oepn that link, your still private, if privacy is a issue, do not sign into google..just us it as a search function, sign in if you want to check your gmail, nothings really private though..not really, less you use a vpn.
Isn't Duckduckgo the search engine of choice for folk who like to navigate their way around the dark web, due to it's privacy level?

I guess whether it's any good depends on what you're using it for.

not really the dark web user know a lot more secure ones than this
DuckDuckGo is as said above by chelle7272. However, I would avoid Google if you wish your every move on the Internet to remain untracked and to retain fully your personal privacy.

My default 'set-up' is Firefox as my Browser, Bing as Search Engine and a DuckDuckGo Privacy Essential 'add-on' to Firefox.

Hans.
Surely by definition you cannot navigate your way around the dark web unless you are already on it ;-)

thanks all of you, I'll try it.
I use it. As far as I can tell they simply grab Google's results for you. I assume their claims are true. The one annoyance is that they rarely have the "shopping" option in the menu.
