Tennesse Vacation
We are planning a trip to Tennesse. Planning to go to Memphis, Nashville and Chattanooga.
I've been reading a lot of negative reviews on all three.
The crime in Memphis being the biggest concern.
Is this a good trip to take or should we look elsewere?

Like you, I was slightly apprehensive about the negative reports, especially around crime in Memphis, however found nothing to worry about once we were there.
Be as sensible as you would in any large city- for example, in Memphis, I wouldn't stay in the area around Graceland- it looked decidedly seedy- but fine during the day to visit.
Brilliant trip and I would highly recommend it- put your city "street smart" head on and go for it.

Fully agree with scubadiver. Wonderful places to visit. We felt most at ease in Nashville and Chattanooga, least in Memphis. All well worth visiting, but as scubadiver says, just behave sensibly, don't walk around with gold chains on show and loads of money in your pocket and in dodgy looking areas after dark. You'll have a fab time.
