You have posted to a UK site and is very unlikely that anyone here can give an answer which involves Aadhaar and the issue of Identity Cards to people in India. It is a bit like me asking you how long it takes to obtain a passport in the UK.

It is my understanding that Aadhaar is a 12-digit unique identity number that can be obtained voluntarily by residents or passport holders of India, based on their biometric and demographic data.
