My deceased brother's girlfriend is a very bad diabetic and every now and again she gets injections into her eyes to keep her from going completely blind.
I thought she went to a professional optician to get these painful injections but I heard it is the nurse at the GPs.
Now I would think it would take a very qualified eye nurse to do these. What do you think.
@jennyjoan as an ex medical secretary I also did phlebotomy training and am a qualified pharmacy dispenser. I think a lot of staff who work at a gp take any opportunity for training and enjoy the “medical” side of things very much
Oh blimey. Eye injections. Yikes! My dad has just had a cataract op and I have to tell him to stop talking about it. It was fine, but I can’t bear to think about it.
I have a problem with the vision in my left eye, have to keep it closed to read, type etc etc.
Whilst getting by, I'm tending to ignore what may lie ahead, for all the reasons indicated above.
Silly maybe, but there, I've got it off my chest!
