Big Bang

Just heard a big bang outside -
Looked out the window - two cars have collided on the blind bend on our road

From what I can see no one appears to be injured - no ambulance - police just turned up

I sorra child being knocked down - around 30 mph ( yeah that was the speed of the child) 1983
and I cdnt believe how far they got thrown - 30 or 50 m

and the admitting registrar now sir keith porter said - yeah any faster and the car cant stop and passes over them.

your avatar is still on your profile page, so it's in the system. Maybe there's some glitch in AB towers that isn't attaching it to your posts.

Disappearing avatars seem to be a problem from time to time here, Baz.

Go to 'View your profile'. Click on 'Edit my profile'. Check which email address is shown there, then log into Gravatar to check that the same email address is shown and that your avatar has a 'G' rating. Also, while you're in the 'Edit profile' page, check that there's a tick next to 'Your avatar is currently active'. (If it is, it might be worth deactivating it, logging out, logging back in again and then reactivating it).

If nothing helps, and your avatar doesn't magically reappear soon, email the Ed. ( theeditor - at - theanswerbank.co.uk )

Jno's post suggests that all is well at Gravatar and with the same email address being registered with both sites but that your avatar is 'turned off' at AB towers. Look for the tick I've just mentioned above in 'Edit profile' and, if it's there, try removing it, logging out, logging back in and replacing it again.
