I tend to resort to Gorilla Tape these days - but does anyone have a trick for separating the backing sheet from the sticky bit of the tape?

I work away with a scalpel (I know, but I haven't skewered myself yet), but often think there must be an easier way!

Is there?

Apologies for bouncing this, but someone in Abank must have a solution!
a bit like trying to find the end off cello tape and dont mention CLING FILM !
My wife is very good at it but I don't rent her out.

Actually, you've pointed me in the right direction, albeit unwittingly.

I'll treat it as cellotape - once I've found and exposed the 'end', I'll pull back (say 2 inches), cut the exposed tape, but LEAVE the not-sticky backing tape in place.
