Why?

When you look at the billions of pounds the government have spent in the last few months. Why on earth have they over the last ten years made so many cuts to the police force, and let it dwindle almost to the point that they cannot keep up with the ever increasing crime rates.
I never ever see a police patrol on foot anywhere, apart from when full lock down was on, what was the point of that when everyone was more or less off the streets anyhow due to pubs and clubs, none food shops were closed. Now they've disappeared again. We are asked to protect the NHS, thats a strange ask anyhow, but there seems to be less and less protection for us from the police force.

And the general public have spent YEARS (yes I worked there) misusing the NHS. Point taken, but if I was phoning my GP every other week, about something and nothing, I'm sure he would soon get to know I was a time waster/ looking for constant attention, or turning up at A&E drunk every other night, I'm sure A&E staff see this night after night with the same people. Pop them in a cell, not a hospital bed.
