I have just arrived in the USA (Tennessee) on a K3 Visa and am waiting for my green card. I can't apply for a Tennessee drivers license until i receive this. Do you know if i can drive on my UK license? My husband has insured me on his vehicle.

I've often done so with hire cars in the US (though never in Tennessee), so I can't see why not. The local police should be able to tell you for sure.
Check with your state. If you are planned to be a resident for over a set period of time, you may find you need a full licence, for instance, I worked in Michigan 1997/1998, and state regulations were that if you were to be a resident for over 3 months, you needed a full licence. I was there on a H1B visa. You will find regulations vary from state to state, so you're better off checking. we did a theory test and a practical. We were allowed to drive under supervision once we had passed the theory test.
