16,000 positive tests per day but total deaths 45,000.
16,000 for a few months is one big number.
Talking about covid,lol.

There is no reason hospitals should be swamped. We were all reliably informed that, earlier in the year, all hands were on deck to build the extra hospitals/wards/whatever. Surely we weren't lied to. If a particular hospital in a particular area is having difficulties it sounds like they are failing to transfer cases to elsewhere where the necessary resource exists. Meanwhile if an area is overproducing infections maybe a light touch of restrictions, for that area only, might be a reasonable response until the rate lowers a bit.

// Yes, of course, every death is a tragedy (but whisper it, people die every day!),//
yes but - whithperth - each person only dies once - have you noticed?
back to the EIR computer model
looking at the set up equations - one clever young man ( who I think must have majored in either fluids or quantum physics ) managed to wring out a wave equation from the mess generated
that is - as London was getting infected and recovering, he was able to show that the spread to manchester would be in waves. Pebble in a pond. incredible 3D over an area in time
alot of this stuff on you tube

//...these are disputed//
They may be disputed but they are the official figures published by the government.
//this is the author NJ who for a long time said covid was relabelled flu isnt it?
Which of course I never did. But you know that all too well. So...
//??I think we should be told
and congratulate him if he says "covid I admit cd well turn out to be a major problem at a time I urged people to ignore it"//
Which again, of course, I never did. I've only ever criticised the government's chosen strategy of handling it. But you also know that all too well. So I'll congratulate you when you stop misquoting me. But since that seems most unlikely I guess we'll just have to live without each other's praise.
