Has anyone replied to a buyer on gumtree through the given buyers personal e address? This takes control via Gumtree protection away. I realised it when receiving pleading requirements of paying through PayPal and heart attack disability so putting a stop to the suggestion. Definitely a con trick using PayPal. Definitely use Gumtree negotiating channel, within reason it’s safer!

A think his simply reminding us we should pay and communicate through the recamended channel on gumtree even when a buyer trys to persuade you to pay by paypal via there email addy

Be very careful lots of scams through gum tree going on just now all the use of PayPal. My friends buyer said the person she was buying for was shielding but would send courier to pick up item. Turns out scam
