Swapped Phones But No Code

I have had to swap phones and I am trying to use a couple of older phones, both are asking for codes but I have no idea what they might be. I am with vodafone but I am getting nowhere with them. Any ideas please, I have ordered a new sim from giffgaff but I am unsure if this will work without my phone codes.

Your older phones are very likely "locked" (as is mostly the UK practice) so they will only work through the network(s) they were originally sold for. You can do this yourself (can be very tedious) or get it done (small phone kiosks/shops) or maybe, just maybe by the original network's outlets. After that the phone(s) will be usable with any network.
