i really can't spell, she freaked
I would ignore what everybody else thinks - why should you have kids just because most women do?!

pink your back how was the holiday
I like cats and dogs = my babies. In between babies just now. I can't have kids (don't ovulate), don't want kids (too much hard work), and couldn't cope with them (bipolar disorder).

My brother has two - Edie is two and Hamish is 5 months. I love them to bits. This is mainly because I am in Perth and they are in Nottingham.

My parents loved us very much, but they should never have been allowed to have children. My brother is a brilliant father and it is great to see how much he loves his two.

I am 42 and my clock has nearly stopped ticking. I still suffer from depression, but 'gosh' think how depressed I would be with a brood of brats to look after!

yey i have neices and great neice's still don't want any off fmy own. my cat is enough got me
i'm not allowed cats (rented) - gutted! Dote on my niece. Don't get me wrong - I get broody now and again but can't see me ever settling down... for a few years anyway!
Agree 100%

Have never wanted them.

Will never want them.

I think kids are great (well, except for the unruly little blighters who have appalling parents who seem unable to control them) and enjoy being a relative to kids, hugely... i even tutor them...

...hmmm... now i wonder why i don't want any of my own....

;0)
Im totally with you on this one. I really have no desire to have children. Me and my boyfriend plan to get a labrador in a few years, thats enough commitment for us!
Incidentally, i have worked in elderly care homes/ hospitals and within the community in the past and i'm afraid to say that it was actually often the residents with younger family members who were left alone on cold Sunday afternoons.

The ones with a larger network of friends and relations (other than their own offspring) seemed to be in and out regularly on day trips/ birthday treats etc.

Quite a few of us noticed this so this is the argument i always use when i get asked: 'So WHEN are you going to have children?'

I prefer to reply: 'Why SHOULD i have children...?'
Hi mccfluff, I'm exactly the same as you. Don't want kids, never have, never will. I was sterilised when i turned 30 and it was the best day of my life. Don't really like kids but hate to see them being harmed or mistreated. I think it's more selfish to have a kid you don't want and despise(sp?)than to be honest and not bring any more into the horrible world we live in. Be strong, people will eventually realise that you are being true to yourself and accept it...if they don't they don't really care about you and are not real friends.
i feel the same too. im 34 and 11/12ths and i have just never had 'the urge'. the only thing i worry about is the getting old thing, and not having anyone to look after me. you hear many stories of abuse in care homes for the elderly, it makes me go cold. so imagine admitting that you only had kids so someone could look after you when you were old - i dont think so!!
mccfluff, I'm 40 and have not changed my mind. I don't want children either. I love my way the way it is and so does Mr. Litchick!
