Hi Guys. Miserable day up here. Cold and wet and windy. Roasing a chicken and knocking up a spag bol whilst making my choices and "she who must be obeyed" digs over the veg patch for a bit of veg for the new year. (^_*) Cheltenham is in full swing second day of the first meeting of the season and 5 group 2 races to enjoy. My old favourite Frodon is running but I have had to give it a swerve with a heavy heart. It is carrying more than a stone on the field and almost 2 stone than the bottom handicapped. Not even the elfen Byrony can negate that sort of weight disadvantage and I think that Nicholls has left him in to gain concessions later in the season. Two nice races at Doncaster to start us off as well. Stuck with the ITV7 races for now and done a Trixie*** and the usual Acca, doubles, and trebles with the other 4⁕⁕⁕⁕. Single placed on the first runner as well. Bets done with Skybet for the extra places on the acca and trebles. Good Luck.

Two things happened in that race which i didn't think i'd see, Togo. Cogry pulling up in it's fav race, and Frodon giving all that weight away on first run of the season. Great ride by Bryony - as per usual.

Found myself urging him on 2 out Ken even though I was on another. Sometimes the heart is truer than the head.

Know exactly what you mean, Togo. Though i doubt you'd have been cheering as enthusiastically had the one you backed been challenging and was the third leg of a treble :-))
Managed to get the forecast (£31+) in the 4.10 New - could've done with Natural History winning the race - but softens the blow a great deal, bringing the day's losses down to a miniscule sum :-)
