Facebook Telling Me Browser Is Not Supported

I use Chrome - apparently I have to remove Purity or Revert - but I didn't even know I was using them - anyone tell me in layman's terms what they are and how to get facebook back to normal? I really am a technophobe so no jargon please! Just need to know which page to go to and which buttons to press.

Facebook Purity (FBP) is an extension that allows you to change the look of FB and gives you more control over the content.

They both allow you to change Facebook to the 'old' look - many people don't like the new look. As far as I know this no longer works properly and can cause problems

How did I get it and how do I get rid of it? I haven't even heard of it before today.

Open Facebook. Next to the Facebook searchbox can you see a round icon with FBP inside, just before the Home icon?

Barry FBP has nothing to do with facebook -its an app created by a third party and its name is Fluff Busting Purity. It's been the bane of FB as you can block loads of things on it, and FB have taken lots of time and money trying to get rid of it.

Lankeela You have to download this app so I don't know how its got onto your FB account without your knowledge. Just delete it, I downloaded it but found it made my PC run much lower and didn't really trust it.

I know what it is, APG, I've been using it for years. You delete it from the extensions link in your browser

Apologies Barry I obviously got the wrong end of the stick. I thought you were suggesting it was a FB extension - offered by Face Book .as you did refer to it as 'Facebook Purity' which it isn't.
