Many voted for the Conservatives to keep Corbin out. Now he's gone they will revert back to voting Labour. Sir Keir will make an excellent PM and I reckon will steal quite a few voters from the 'Tory party. And it may come sooner than everyone thinks.

gulliver - You keep posting these poll results, and I keep telling you that it's irrelevent until there is an election a lot nearer than several years away.


It's like saying my house is worth a million pounds.

If I put it on the market at that price, and if someone wants to pay me that much to buy it, then yes it is - but until those two factors are in place, I am enjoying a pleasant drem.

These polls are not irrelevant.
I agree that they are of limited value in predicting an election result in 4 years, maybe even one held tomorrow: but they do reflect the fact that support for this government has shrunk dramatically.
The PM won’t be ignoring them I’m sure ...
