Free Vid downloader programme?

Anyone know if there is such a thing as video downloader that will download almost any type of online vid? im not talking about keepvid or things like that that are only limited to a few sites such as youtube etc im on about one programme that can download from any sites so i can convert and put on my phone cheers!

If you use firefox as your browser there is Download Helper

RealPlayer too should display a tab above suitable material for easy download

You may try this video tool, it can help you download and convert internet video, my friends recommend it to me, it's easy to use and works pretty well
