A work mate picks me up on a Wednesday in his personal car,
We arrive at work and then proceed to share a works van.
(Me as driver and he as drivers mate)

Guidelines suggest that I should make my own way to work (Sharing public transport)
Only to work with a guy that im working all day with anyway in a confined cabin of a van)

I then spend all day with this guy but Im not allowed to go out for a pint with him afterwards.
Have I got this right?

Meanwhile, Im handling literally thousands of goods per day.

So whats the difference between guidence and regulations CORBY?
Just trying to be clear here.

And is a regulation a law?
(maybe NJ can answer that one)
The guidance does contain some information supported by the Regulations and Regulations have legal force.

It is the Regulations that require, for example certain businesses to close, prohibits gatherings under certain circumstances and exemptions to those prohibitions.

You will need to read the Regulations to ensure you stay within the law.
Common sense is a good guide.

// You cannot meet in a private garden. //

This makes no sense when it states right above that you can meet in a public place.

But in these strange times it seems to have gone out of the window.
I can share a van all day with someone but cant travel to the place where we shall pick that van up from in his car?

Sorry to repeat myself, but you can go fishing with someone but not play tennis with them.

??
If you find anybody who understands it, then they don't!
A bit like Quantum Physics!
Go and cuddle an angler, I'm sure no one will notice - not sure you can make tennis courts open to the public though.
