Carpet On Concrete Floor
47 Answers
Trying to remove a carpet from a concrete floor.
God only knows what its stuck down with, currently using a hammer and chisel to lift it a small piece at a time.
Any advice...
1) on how to lift it more easily
2) on how to remove sticky residue on floor.
Any advice appreciated,
Thanks.

A carpet fitter would slice into smaller pieces and use a long bladed tool somewhat like a hoe to remove carpet. As a carpet fitter for many years I’ve encountered many such jobs. Also a spade or wide shovel speeds up the work. I’ve never used chemicals, just elbow grease.
