Sorry ive no idea where to put this question.
My brother became a full time single parent this year, so gone from full time work to part time so his money gets topped up with universal credit.
His daughter's school as been in contact today saying they both have to isolate for 14 days.
He's let work know and they've explained he wont get paid, so he's told universal credit and they've said because it's only his daughter's class that as closed they wont help him either!
He had 9 days of from work the other week due to his daughter's Class closing so lost that wage too and now to be told to isolate for 14 days.
Any advice or help on what to do in this situation, he still as Bill's and rent to pay, it's crazy surely.

Thankyou mamyalynne, ill take a look now x
This might be relevant:

However it appears to only apply when the instruction to self-isolate has come from NHS Test and Trace. It might still be worth him contacting the relevant department of his local authority though, in order to explain his circumstances.
