Throw them away and buy some microfibre cloths instead. You can throw these in the washing machine with towels etc.I loathe yellow dusters ..they create more dust if you ask me and all the horrid dye comes out them when you wash them.
Lidl do a pack of two microfibre cloths for 1.99..they are brilliant and clean everything ,windows, furniture etc.without the need for polish and chemical cleaners.
Seriously, I too hate the yellow dusters which just seem to spread dust and fluff from one place to another. I vacuum once a week and instead of a duster I usually go over all the surfaces which attract dust with the suction brush on the end of my vacuum cleaner. That way the dust is sucked up and disposted of rather than being spread around again. However, I also find the new microfibe clothes very efficient and wash them by hand in warm soapy water. I also have one of these fluffy dusting sticks for reaching in high places and when that's covered in dust I just swill that in warm soapy water and peg it on the washing line to dry.
Tictactoe....anytime !! Get the kettle on !
i never polish furniture only a couple of times a year with a non silicone type stuff antiquwax to feed the wood.Mr Sheen and all these other things contain silicone which just sits on the surface of wood and collects more dust..Microfibre cloths ..the ones I have ..look a bit like a chamois leather ..sort of suedy ..I just wring them out in water for dusting everywhere and use them with a drop of vinegar in the water for the windows and then go over with a dry one.
The reason I dust is because I have an awful lot of old victorian china and stuff which I can't dust with the hoover attachment and these cloths bring it all up lovely and shiny.
Shiney Shaney xx
Will have to go into Lidl (never been in) to buy the cloths mentioned. I probably polish twice a year whether it needs it or not! Like you I use drop vinegar in the water for the windows, and shammy off (sounds rude!).
Robinia, is right though, mr n00dles old thermals have an extended life !!
Shaneystar is spot on with microfibres! I use microfibres too and they are brilliant. I have a glass top table and I never have to use glass cleaner. they really do clean everything. I even bought a microfibre mop thing from lakeland and don't even have to use floor cleaners which make the floor slippery. I just wash with very hot water.
