It may or may not matter what colour the people concerned were, depending upon what drove the original vandals to stick a brick through the window.
If they had been on a random vandalism spree damaging property of whites, blacks, chinese and asians indiscriminately then of course it should not matter.
However if they said "we're sick of these muslim, black B*****s etc etc etc random racist claptrap, ad nauseum" and specifically targetted premises owner by non white people then yes, colour is very important as they were racially aggravated attacks upon the shop keeper's property.
The assault I would think may or may not be considered racially aggrvated in those circumstances depending upon the whole background to the case. Wardy would tell you better once he gets his sensible head on.
I don't understand why anyone sticks a brick through someone's window, I do sympathise more with the lads who belted those who were, but at the end of the day yo can't take the law into your own hands.
