Can anyone suggest ways I can prevent cats using my garden as a toilet. Humane suggestions please, I don't want to hurt the cats. Friends have suggested a shotgun, but that seems a bit drastic. Any humane suggestions would be welcome. Thanks Flo

In the Kleeneze catalogue this month there are loads of options, from the stuff you sprinkle on the garden to putting anti-terrorist-like spikes up on the fences/wall etc so they can't get in, to those random metal cats with weird eyes.

No idea if any work though!....
Get a dog?
Pepper - I've been putting pepper down every week and so far so good no more cat poo!!

You could try this plant. My mum tried it with good results...and it looks quite pretty too!

Nice to read of someone who doesn't want to hurt the cats - too many people wish them harm for my liking!

Good luck
My mum always scattered a bit of orange peel around the garden, apparantly cats don't like the smell or something. It always worked for us
I used bottles of smelling salts on the borders, buried them up to the neck, had to use about a dozen, but it worked, mostly its local cats that are the problem, and they learn, i've been cat free for a couple of years now,
Garden centres sell Lion Dung which cats abhor.
Expensive though.
