Hi Julie, I make cards and sell them, I find that the cheapest way of buying cardstock is to buy big sheets and cut them down rather than buying ready cut and folded and creased cards. I tend to use www.craftcreations.co.uk, but there are otheres out there. I started off on a small scale to see if my cards would sell, but now that they have taken off, I tend to buy bigger quantities of everything. There is an awful lot of cardmaking stuff out there and you could easily be tempted by something you might not use, I tend to do a lot of stamping on my cards or use die cuts - be warned you will get completely hooked, my craft stuff is taking over the house now.
