I know you are probably still in shock over your diagnosis but you got to see your doctor and I hope treatment starts soon.

PP I have no idea as to the relevance of your post....but hey! this is just another day on AB

Avatar Image Peter Pedant /////oh god babies stop carping

and sqad should have read the path report - 23 y o with rhabdo - completely unrelated to smows problem - so ergo - doesnt apply

slow treatment doesnt have much effect ( on survival) (*)
and that boys and gurlz is why the cancer doctors say - look your blood count is a bit low this week we will put it off....
Because the delay is then beneficial

(*) in a look back of millions of patient - 5m I think, the effect was around 10 in a million - so if the whole of the population of the UK had cancer then delauy would adversely affect 60

if these numbers are too high
delete the post /////

Eh??? What the funicular is any of that ??
there is a daily mail article on rhabdo and this doesnt apply to smow as she does not have a rhabdo on her cheek and isnt 23

and there are 60 posts pretending it does apply
I just wrote another post that didnt apply just to join the others (*)

my post doesnt make sense just as the preceding 60 dont even tho some of them might be written by very eminent physicians

as someone just said - just another thread on AB

(*) which can be accurately described as yet more Friday am grot.
^^^ if you say so , but then why join in?
On second thoughts, doesn't matter :0/
er it answers the question
is there an effect on a delay in treatment of already diagnosed cancer

it came up on radio a few days ago

I emailed the speaker and she gave me the ref in the BMJ

about one in a million
oh ! I love AB posts that go like
oh it matters ! 0 oops oh no it doesnt !

it kinda makes me feel at home
Oh well that's good news. Delaying treatment has nigh on zero impact on outcome therefore why get treated at all. And PP nobody
on the thread suggested Smow had the same condition. Sometimes your desperation to 1. Tell us how thick we all are 2. Example how incredibly academically superior you are causes you to not actually understand what people are trying to say.

MM, I'm sure it was well-intentioned, but I have to agree that it's probably the last thing smow needs to see right now. May have been better without the FAO... imo x
I saw the original thread as smow being worried and panicking... hopefully prematurely...
//Delaying treatment has nigh on zero impact on outcome //

Please don't tell me PP is still trying to claim this? I can't see where it came from now.

I’m sorry you feel that way pixie.
May well be wrong, Martin... I just think, in her position, it would scare me xx
I don't think the content of the OP will bother smow in any way. 72 answers talking about her has probably hit the spot.
APG..I fear that you are correct which defeated the whole purpose of the thread.
// And PP nobody on the thread suggested Smow had the same condition// (1)
er that is why it is labelled fao Smow
because she DOESN'T have the same condition. I see now.
and
//72 answers talking about her has probably hit the spot.// (2)
baaaarp ! no sorry poster - see (1) this doesnt concern smow, I have no idea where you got THAT idea from

haha! oh god this has to be AB without looking at the titlehead

we can all count ourselves lucky
