Just me then ?
Im sorry you've lost your lovely neighbour - having lovely neighbours myself I know how precious they are. Take care SK

Hi Rosie, hard and sad day, I miss my friends.
i confess to only being on nodding terms with my neighbours, a young couple with a baby, the people above me aren't worth knowing

apart from that its been an ok day, the vaccine that has long been promised is coming to fruition, and i managed to get my hair done at long last,
I know. Try to do something nice for yourself today.
I've had the day from hell, actually. I've had no end of IT problems going on whilst I try to sort on-call swaps, Clinic cancellations for on-call duties, rotas, missing outcomes and incomplete pathways and numerous risk reports for the Governance. My child has been screaming like a cat being spit-roasted all day long and Bob The Builder has being doing my head in too.

Seeing as it's my first day back in the office tomorrow, I can't even drown my sorrows tonight. Pah!

If I suddenly disappear from here and I'm never heard of again, I'm either a fugitive or I've won the Euromillions.
Awful when you have to say goodbye Sparkly, it's so final, don't be down, there's hope out there now, grab it with both hands
Sad news, condolences on the loss of your friend.
Keep drinking the rum, Sparkly, you'll probably outlive us all.

My grandfather used to get through 2-3 litres of whisky a week and he lived to a respectable age and had all his faculties about him.

Sometimes I think it's just the luck of the draw and you get the cards you were dealt at birth.

Was that the neighbour who lost her husband Sparkly?

She did not look too good today. She has carers of course. Might be against the rules but I sit with her for half an hour or so daily. Apart from the telly she has no other distraction.
Her son in Cambridge is trying to get her in a care home near him.

Strange to think she is only 6 years older than me, luck of the draw I suppose.
Irritated.
Question Author
Why irritated OG ?
Bless you Sparkly, you have a good heart.
Irritated because some ... individual ... who ran a red light and consequently wrote off my car about 18 months ago has finally got in touch with my insurance company to pretend that I am liable, that he wishes to claim for everything including personal injury even though after the accident that was totally his fault he showed no problems walking around, and it's all been brought up again after I thought I was getting over it. It's difficult to comprehend how such scum walks the Earth.
