Blackbirds Seem To Be Hardy Creatures.

I just saw a blackbird having a brief dip in the birdbath in my garden. It's a bit nippy this morning, don't they mind the cold?

I think all the birds are hardy at this time of year sandy, look at how tiny the wren is. How they survive the cold winter months is just amazing. This is why it's good to feed them and give them as much help as we can.

Birds have, in general, higher body temperatures than do humans.

Blackbirds are without doubt the main user of my birdbath which sits under an arbour. The male sits on the fence keeping watch while the mrs bathes and then they do a swap. But the very best bit is in Spring when mum brings babies and shows them what to do and then they have a go. I find it eye-watering in the nicest possible way.
