help hanging a huge mirror

hi, have a very large and heavy mirror to hang. it will need some sort of brackets rather than wire.
still a debate as to wether my wall is brick or not so would liuke advice on both. if anyone can share their knowledge i would be very grateful

I had the same problem, i wanted wall hangings that could not be seen but could not find any so had to make do with 2 brackets on each side of the mirror, one at top and one at bottom. A raw plug was put into the wall first and then the brackets were screwed onto mirror and then screwed into wall, only down side is that you can see part of the bracket at side, not too noticeable though!! Hope this makes sense and that this helps you. Most ironmongers will be able to give you the best advice
